Comps schedule

The comps is scheduled and settled. I do hope I can study everything by end of November. Here's what I know about the exam based on my meeting last week:

1. Written Exam Part I "Specialization Area" (29th November 2012)

Theory in Interpersonal Communication (history, research trends, scholars, basic assumptions, criticisms)

In class exam

6 hours with 1 hour break in between (9 am to 4 pm)

Type written

Bring in an empty thumb drive

Print out answers

Are ear phones allowed?

2. Written Exam Part II "Methodology" (30th November 2012)

Methodology in Quantitative Research (participants, procedures, measures, analysis)

In class exam

4 hours (break TBD, 9 am to 1/2 pm)

3. Oral Exam

One week roughly after written exam

2 hours

3 committee members question you on parts of written exam that maybe weak

Notes allowed in

Wish me luck. I am so nervous. Already started studying but there seem so much to do!
